The Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders Announce Auditions In April For The 2020 Squad

During any Falcons game, it’s hard not to admire Matt Ryan’s muscles and six other touchdown pass attempts or Julio Jones’ lightning-quick footwork. If you glance to the left or right of the field, you will see a group of women working just as hard. The Atlanta Falcons cheerleader auditions are almost upon us, and they want you to join their elite squad.

According to the official website, there is a 2020 open call for dancers with a “dance/laughter background, a positive attitude, a winning smile and a drive to be the best”.

Hundreds of women will pack the Georgia International Convention Center on April 26 for preliminary hearings.

The competition will be tough, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be part of the lineup. The individual requirements are that you are over 18, a high school graduate (or GED recipient) and have a part-time or full-time job or are a student.

Be prepared for two sets of cuts at the auditions. As trying as that will be in itself, that is only part of the challenge ahead.

You must also shine during a 15-minute interview and dance boot camp before the finals on April 29.

To be ready to face the stiff competition, you can take a prep class. These classes run until April 25th for only $45.

The benefit of these classes is that you get a broad overview of the cheerleading program, a Q&A session and the opportunity to learn some of the dance combinations similar to those performed at Mercedes Benz Stadium.

On average, NFL cheerleaders make $75 to $150 per game, with an additional $50 per hour for public appearances.

It’s time to show up and out in your two-piece leotard and tights so you can secure your spot as Mrs. Falcon.
