Traffic reporter Sha Tabb's dating profile is a Times Square billboard

After Sha Tabb deleted all of his dating apps, the inner circle of the NFL entertainment leader decided to take matters into their own hands. In February, two of his best friends posted a profile on – little did they know it would soon become a 48-foot billboard in Times Square.

“I was floored. I was speechless. I didn’t know what to say,” said Sha, a 42-year-old auto journalist who lives in Fort Lauderdale. to PEOPLE. “I really like this trip.”

Sha met her best friends, Jacqui Duran, 30, and Sheri Ralliford, 34, when they worked at the same radio station about 11 years ago. A lot has changed since then for Sha, who says she is busy and focuses on having fun with her friends when she’s out on the town, not talking to men she doesn’t know.

“My dating life feels empty,” Sha admits. “For a while, it didn’t bother me that I wasn’t dating. I was on a few shows, I’d go on dates and then guys would ask me. I’m like, ‘Okay, no. ‘it didn’t work for me. I know it worked for a lot of other people, but it didn’t work for me.’ So I removed myself from the programs.”

He won’t be gone for long. Jacqui, who now sells health insurance in Miami, learned about the Wingman app when she read about Beth Davis, a woman with cancer who created a dating profile for her Molly’s daughter. (Molly also ended her life on a billboard in Times Square.)

Jacqui brings up the matter at her 30th birthday dinner, where Sha agrees to let Jacqui and Sheri manage her date and manage the apps for her.

So in February, Jacqui and Sheri created a profile for their flamboyant, disease-prone friend — a former NFL player and model who’s appeared in music videos like Cardi B’s “I Like It ” and worked as a dancer for Pitbull.

“We’re always happy,” Jaqui said of their relationship. “We always laugh, dance. In fact, there’s never been a time when Sha and I weren’t in the best mood.”

The profile caught the eye of the app’s CEO Tina Wilson, who said that Sha’s experience “shows that you can be beautiful inside and out, and is a professional entertainer who even, and still struggle to find the right partner.”

Wilson’s team installed the 48-foot billboard on May 3 and extended it until June 19.

“It’s the strangest thing on this planet,” Sha said about expanding his media profile for the entire world. “I’ve done modeling in the past, so I’ve had my face in things, but usually I’m promoting other things for people or other products. Now, I’m promoting myself.”

It’s an exciting journey in life that has seen its ups and downs, including brain surgery to remove a crooked artery at just 12 years old. his age. But the effervescent Sha – who was born in Chicago and moved to Florida as a baby – grew up cheering for the Miami Dolphins for four seasons.

Now she is a TV and radio auto reporter in Florida, where she lives with her 9-year-old, 6-pound mini-pinscher, Lola. He’s never married – an engagement in his early 20s didn’t work out – but he’s still considering sharing his future with a partner.

“I still want a husband.” It’s great,” said Sha. “I’d love to do that for myself.”

In that case, Sha’s friends have decided not to rush the process of finding more applicants.

“I’ll let the girls take care of that,” Sha said. “They have become my wingwomen and my role models.”

“The e-mails are flooding in,” added Sheri, who is already researching all potential replacements for Jacqui.

Among their questions for men: How tall are you? (Sha is 5-feet-10-inches tall and likes to wear heels.) Are you thinking of getting married? Do you have children?

“I want it to be like a real Bachelorette without the cameras,” Sheri said. “I want to give him a lot of options… I want the decision to be difficult.”

Sha didn’t go on her first date off the board, but her friends expect her to be at the bar when it all goes wrong.

“We’ll be in the corner, just keeping an eye on things,” Jacqui said.

Stay tuned, because after her first date, Sha and her friends plan to share information on True Love PEOPLE. Meanwhile, Sha has a message to offer his donors.

“I want my other half, I want my best friend,” he said. “I want someone who is honest, someone who wants to travel with me, who wants to take risks with me and make decisions with me, to be my leader.
