FRICO, Texas – Thursday featured an event unlike any other at the Ford Center at The Star. The inaugural season kickoff presented by Blockchain.com lit up the night with awards and presentations from Dallas Cowboys players and legends of all generations.
A precession of players, coaches and family members walked the blue carpet at Tostitos Championship Plaza to enter the Ford Center. After a brief mixing session, the show started in vogue as the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders welcomed the crowd with a grand opening before a 50-yard video card was lifted to reveal the Cowboys’ entire 2022 roster. Led by head coach Mike McCarthy, the team took their seats to start the night.
Dressed in a royal blue suit jacket with a light gray collar, the host of the evening, Michael Irvin, led the crowd in a night of interviews and jokes. In addition to highlight videos and friendly banter between Irvin and other audience members, the event was fueled by the royal awards.
All in all, the night was unforgettable, full of fun, a look back at how the Dallas Cowboys organization developed, and a look at the season to come. Expectations, goals, and the organization’s overall legacy were discussed, but it was the fellowship and fanfare of the evening that stole the show.
