Gabrielle Union Pitches Idea for 'Bring it Up' Sequel to Cheerleader Comedy's 22nd Anniversary

As “Bring It On” celebrated its 22nd anniversary earlier this week, one of the movie’s stars is sharing an idea for a potential sequel to the beloved cheerleading comedy.

Released in 2000, “Bring It On” focuses on a high school cheerleading team preparing for a national competition and stars Kirsten Dunst, Eliza Dushku, Jesse Bradford and Gabrielle Union.

Gabrielle Union ‘absolutely in favor’ of ‘Bring It On’ sequel

Although the film spawned six direct-to-video sequels, none of them featured a single member of the original cast.

Union, who played Isis, the East Compton Clovers’ head cheerleader, took to Twitter to share a suggestion for another sequel, noting that Isis will now be old enough to have a teenage daughter of her own.

Hmmmm so maybe Isis has a teenager 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔😳🤷🏾‍♀️🙏🏾 #BringItOn

If Union’s idea comes to fruition, the producers of the new movie “Bring It On” should have no trouble casting; actresses Chloe Bailey and Ryan Destiny responded that they were ready to sign.

“I want to be separated,” Bailey tweeted.
