It is not always that you will see football players wearing cheerleading skirts or students wearing the same clothes as their parents when they were in high school.
Then again, this time of year is unheard of. In fact, it is a tradition. Homecoming tradition.
Each APS high school has its own homecoming traditions – prom, dances, dress-up days, class competitions, tailgating. The week-long celebration culminates with the introduction of the homecoming court, the coronation, and—of course—the homecoming football game attended by the alumni.
The Eldorado Eagles begin homecoming season for Albuquerque Public Schools the week of August 29. Below is the schedule for all APS high schools.
