JACKSONVILLE -The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed DL Auzoyah Alufohai (pronounced Ah-ZOY-ah Ah-LOOF-oh-hai), the club announced today. In addition, the team waived/injured DL Jeremiah Ledbetter.
Alufohai was originally signed as a rookie free agent in 2020 by the Texans and has spent time with the Packers and most recently with the Bears. He has appeared in three regular season games, all with Houston in 2020.
Alufhai played collegiately at West Georgia in 2018 after transferring from Kennesaw State, where he played three seasons. In 2018, he finished the season with 31 total tackles, 2.0 sacks and three forced fumbles.
The Alpharetta, Ga. native played one season of high school football helping Alpharetta High School to a 9-3 record in his senior year.
