WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – All eyes will be on Cam Newton and his Carolina Panthers teammates on Sunday, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.
But in one Advance pocket, crowds will be paying more attention on the sidelines during Super Bowl 50, hoping to see a hometown girl fulfill a lifelong dream.
Native Kloi Irving, 23, is among 28 women on the TopCats, the Panthers’ cheer squad. She and everyone else who works for the Panthers will go to the Super Bowl courtesy of owner Jerry Richardson, who is covering their expenses.
Irving, a 2011 graduate of West Forsyth High School, is scheduled to arrive in Santa Clara, Calif., on Friday and return home to Charlotte on Monday.
