Sonny Kiss came out with a Jacksonville Jaguar cheerleader at this year’s Fight For The Fallen, but he didn’t want to. In fact, he told Tony Khan and Cody that he wanted to be more serious, but they insisted that he go out with the dancers.
While Sonny Kiss was in A Shot Of Brandi, AEW CBO said he told Kiss to actually put him in Cody in Fight For The Fallen. She didn’t know how hard she would hit her husband. “I’m so excited,” said Sonny Kiss with a smile.
“So my match with Cody, what a great moment for me, the biggest match of my career, of my life — I didn’t really want a cheerleader this year because I wanted to focus more on the match because it was a very serious match and I felt like I have to keep my head in the game and stay focused. They’re like ‘No!’ Tony and Cody were like ‘You have to do it, it’s the second time for Fight For The Fallen, it’s your moment, it’s you.’ I was like, yeah you’re right.”
Kiss initially said he didn’t want The Jacksonville Roar anymore, but he was glad Tony Khan and Cody Rhodes persuaded him to do so. He also choreographed their dance routines.
Sonny Kiss didn’t drop the TNT Title from Cody Rhodes, but he hasn’t finished pursuing the title at AEW. Now that Kiss and Joey Janela have a tag team, the two will battle it out against the talented AEW tag team rankings for a possible shot at a pair of belts.
