Girl Scouts still have time to join the annual “Girl Scout Sleepunder” at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, on October 7-8.
This family event (parents and siblings welcome) would be a great idea for the three day weekend (Columbus Day holiday). For Abilene school students, it’s actually four days – the Friday before is a teacher work day and students are not in attendance.
Cost for the event is $63 per person. Price includes pizza, a chance to win badges and maybe meet some Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. Brownies must bring their personal teddy bear, doll or stuffed animal for first aid.
Application deadline is Friday.
Activities begin at 6 p.m. October 7th and will end around 8pm on October 8th For those who are not comfortable staying overnight, you can come for the evening activities only at a cost of $54.
A movie opportunity can be purchased for those staying overnight. But be prepared; everything is cashless (be sure to bring your plastic!).
Bring your own pillows, blankets, etc. Tents are allowed, but driving stakes into the field is not allowed. Walks allowed, but no carriages, please.
Register for both events via gs-top.org under the “Events” calendar. Specific information will be sent after registration. Contact: Customer Care, 800-582-7272 or firstname.lastname@example.org. For details on this program, contact Sherrie Scott, 940-228-4832 or email@example.com.
