“Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team” – Episode Five: Watch DAC

It’s time for one of the most exciting days for rookie candidates at boot camp…makeover day! Marshall and Kevin from Tangerine Salon, the official salon of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, come to The Star to check in with the newbies and Kelli Finglass before the makeovers.

Each beginner gets a personalized appointment to figure out their look and improve what they’re already working on. On top of hair, girls also learn more beauty tips and tricks to nail the DCC look.

Without the right DCC look, the rookie candidate might not make the team, so a good makeover is crucial.

The second rehearsal of the training camp takes place, and the group leaders are announced! Being a group leader is very important because it means you get support from Kelli and Judy. Group leaders help teach the choreography and lead the group on game days. It is one of the most respected, sought after and highest honors for a DCC.

DCC alumni run a class for rookies at boot camp. Not only do they teach and critique dance, but they are also there to inspire newbies along their journey. They know everything there is to know about the world of DCC and pass their wisdom on to the girls who hope to follow in their footsteps. They also offer a new look and perspective on the girls to share with Kelli and Judy.

During the last practice of the week, Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett makes a surprise visit. Talk to all the girls about respect and how this is one of the most important qualities a person can have. He also talks about how special it is to be part of an elite group like the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders steeped in history and tradition. A great platform to live your dreams!
