HBCU Love between cheerleader and trombonist

A student of an HBCU benefits so much from this experience. In addition to providing a plethora of options, it also forges an endless link in the chain of networking and pride in our nation’s Black history.

At a 2015 Nashville HBCU grad mix, former Tennessee State University Tiger cheerleader Ronnika Parham and Ryan Redding, a trombone player from Bethune Cookman with the Marching Wildcats, met for the first time. They started dating a year later. In 2020, the couple got engaged on October 31. At the Bluegrass Yacht and Country Club on July 2, 2022, they were married in front of 170 family members, friends and HBCU classmates from across the country.

May this union be eternal, blessed!
