OutKick Fantasy Football Week 5 Recap – OutKick

I have a healthy Chubb and pancake punishments await me. Welcome to OutKick’s fantasy football recap for Week 5.

The team with the highest score last week (168.64) was led by yours truly. My Writers Block team won the honors and, more importantly, the bragging rights, largely because of Nick Chubb. Unlike Cleveland Browns coach Kevin Stefanski, I kept faith in Chubb and he rewarded me with 27.40 en route to a decisive win over Joe Kinsey’s Better Business Burrow team.

Kinsey has clearly devoted more time to his Morning Screencaps column than his fantasy team. Not that anyone is complaining. It would be easy to haggle him over deciding to start Patriots WR DaVante Parker. But again, he’s given us a glimpse of Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, Rachel Bush and some Hooters waitresses over the past week – so we’ll give him a pass.

Speaking of Hooters, OutKick writer Armando Salguero is the biggest boobs in Week 5. His team – Salt Warriors – ended the week with a record 67.18 points. Armando got no help from Lions TE T.J. Hockenson (1.60 points), who apparently remembered Detroit is supposed to stink. Oh, and the Dolphins’ defense turned offensive, giving the Salt Warriors -1 points. This means that Armando must now enter the torture chamber.

Well, not really a torture chamber, but he will participate in a loser punishment video.

We’re Going Streaking!

For five weeks, streaks were the common theme of OutKick fantasy football. Two teams have won three games in a row: Danny Dimes and Tier One Day Drinker. Luckily for the OutKick personalities involved, Rams LB Bobby Wagner didn’t come close enough to end their streaking habits.

It Was Time To Pay Up

OutKick’s Clay Travis was in line for a penalty thanks to his week four in the league. But…since he’s the boss and all he got through without participating in any punishment videos. On the same subject : 2022 Jaguars NFL offseason: Cam Robinson likes direction. So no mayonnaise sandwiches for Clay. Instead, some league members scoffed at his costs.

And as mentioned above, Armando is the next man when it comes to punishment. And early rumors on the street suggest an hourly pancake challenge or something is headed his way. It is a punishment in which I would not hesitate to participate.

Unfortunately, you can’t bet on how many pancakes Armando will choke (I’ll take over), but you can bet on NFL games this weekend. Throw $5 on an NFL game and you could potentially win another $200 from DraftKings (which can be done easily at OutKick.com/Bets).

Players On The Move

Fantasy team owners rushed to the waiver wire this week in an effort to avoid one last end. OutKick writer Alejandro Avila, who leads the Flex Burkhead team, trades the Saints. On the same subject : No more cheerleaders and the current need for ‘founder tweak’. Flex B sent Jarvis Landry packing to pick up position specialist Taysom Hill.

Other moves made included level one day drinkers taking a flyer on Rams RB Darrell Henderson and Latavius Murray heading to the Salt Warriors. If that doesn’t tell you that the league’s running backs closet is as bare as Cleveland’s trophy, I don’t know what will.

Location Scouting

It’s never too early to scout locations for next season’s fantasy football draft. And if you’ve been following (of course you have) all year, you know that OutKick is looking for a spot for our in-person draft next season. Many locations – mostly on the west coast – look promising. But, I’m happy to report that Chicago has now entered the conversation.
