Tom Brady was excited for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ big win on Sunday, but there was someone who was even more excited – for him.
Brady talked about the Buccs’ late-game rally to victory over the Los Angeles Rams – which comes in the midst of a tough season on and off the pitch for the veteran quarterback – in his Let’s Go! Podcast Monday with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray.
During the chat, Brady revealed that his daughter, Vivian Lake, 9, was “very excited” to see the team win.
“That little girl was very excited for her father,” shared the father of three. “She’s my number one cheerleader and I wouldn’t do it any other way.”

The 45-year-old NFL star shares Vivian and son Benjamin Rein, 12, with ex Gisele Bündchen, whose divorce was finalized last month. He is also the father of son John “Jack” Edward, 15, with ex Bridget Moynahan.
In last week’s episode of Let’s Go !, Brady discussed the difficulty of seeing their divorce “play out in front of many people,” adding, “We all have our own unique challenges in life. We are all human. We do the best we can. Do”.
“I have amazing parents who have always taught me the right way to do things. I want to be a great father to my children and I always try to do things right,” continued Brady.
“And to tackle the things in your life that present challenges, you want to tackle them in the best possible way. So, I always want to be able to keep my head up on and off the pitch, and I will try to keep doing it as long as I’m here.”
Elsewhere in this week’s podcast, the quarterback – known for his expressive frowns on the sidelines – said his daughter told him to work on his facial expressions.
“My daughter always says, ‘Dad, you didn’t have a happy face out there.’ And I’m trying! I wish I had more awareness of what the frown looks like, but I’m doing my best to try and achieve a better place and more peace of mind out there, “she shared.
As he established their new normal, a source told PEOPLE that Brady is “always happy when he’s with his kids.”
“The kids slowly got used to spending time apart with Tom and Gisele,” the source shared, noting that Brady and Bündchen “lived apart for months.”
“When the kids are with Tom, try to make it fun with various children’s activities. He’s a very involved dad. You can tell he loves being a dad,” the insider added.
