The 2022 Junior Ambassadors will soon begin their duties as the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce marks the start of the Christmas season in just two weeks.

JA acts as an ambassador to the business community. They must be ninth-grade students who live in Lincoln County.

Participating businesses in Brookhaven and the county will be open on Saturday, November 12, for the annual Christmas Open House. The younger Ambassadors will be hosting businesses, corresponding alphabetically. They will also help Santa Claus hand out candy on the way to the end of the Brookhaven Christmas Parade, Thursday, December 1. There will be many community service hours during the spring.

This year’s theme is “The Greatest Gift.”

Sylvia Elizabeth Bass, daughter of Chris and Janie Bass, is a freshman at Loyd Star Attendance Center. He is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Junior Beta Club. He is an All-A-Honor Student and was recently voted the 9th Grader to Be Excited by his peers. She is a member of the Loyd Star women’s basketball team and a cheerleader for the Hornets. Sylvia attends Mount Zion Baptist Church and is active in the youth group. His favorite thing about living in Lincoln County is the people.

Marley Layne Brown, daughter of Jeremy and Carrie Brown, is an area school freshman and senior. He is a member of Elite Performance and Tumble and an active member of Johnson Grove Church of Christ. Marley’s favorite thing about Brookhaven is the house. He likes to be surrounded by family and friends.

Emma Daisy Bower, daughter of Kevin and Courtney Bower, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. He is a member of the BHS Pride of Ole Brook Band and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Emma is in the National Junior Honor Society and is an All-A-Honor-Roll student. He serves on the student leadership team at Clear Branch Baptist Church. His favorite Brookhaven activity is the Friday night football games.

Lillian Olivia Carter, daughter of Casey and Rebecca Carter, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. He is a member of the Science Club and the National Honor Society. Lillian is on the All-A-Honor-Roll. She plays tennis and basketball for the BA Cougar teams and is a competitive dancer in Show Stoppers. Lillian is an active member of the youth group at the FBC Summit. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the small town feel and having family and friends nearby.

Ciatlyn Alexis Case, daughter of Mark and Charity Case, is a freshman at the Enterprise Attendance Center. Caitlyn is a mbmer of First Priority, FBLA, Senior Beta, and Strategic Planning. She is on the All A Honor Roll, plays basketball and softball, and was named Rookie of the Year in Softball for the EAC. Caitlyn is a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church. His favorite thing about Lincoln County is how the community helps each other in times of need and someone always has your back.

Oliver Leah Case, daughter of Dr. Ryan and Wendi Case, a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. He is in the sports club and is a member of the BA Cougar Soccer Team. Olivia is a high school student and a member of the Honors Society. She also enjoys theater and ballet. Olivia is active in the youth group at Faith Presbyterian Church. His favorite thing about Brookhaven is the town and all the fun it has to offer.

Anna Kaitlyn Dooley, daughter of Jason and Lesa Dooley, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. He is the current class member on the BHS student council and recently had a roll in the fun of homecoming. Anna Kaitlyn is a member of the Jr. National Honor Society, MS Scholar, and an Honor Roll student. She is a member of the BHS Panther softball team. He is active in the youth group at Jackson Street United Methodist. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the small town life and how it feels like a close family.

Addyson Grace Foster, daughter of Cindy Foster, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Addy is a member of the Pride of Ole Brook band and recently won the “Best Server” award for the BHS Volleyball team. Also competes with the BHS tennis team. Addy is a member of the youth group of Harmony Baptist Church. His favorite thing about Brookhaven is the sense of community. When someone is needed in the area, people usually step up to provide.

Natalie Evelyn Freeny, daughter of Trey and Tracy Freeny, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Natalie is a member of the Science Club. She is on the Principal’s Honor Roll and a member of the Junior Honor Society. Natalie is a BA Cougar Cheerleader and plays on the basketball team. She is a competitive dancer and student dance instructor at Show Stoppers. Brookhaven’s favorite thing is seeing familiar faces everywhere he goes.

Annabel Jewel Gaskin, daughter of Jason and Shanteau Gaskin, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Annabel is a member of the National Honor Society and Science Club. He is on the CEO’s Honorable Mention List and was recently voted “Most Courteous.” Annabel is a JV Cheerleader, plays for the Lady Cougar Softball team, is the manager of Lady Cougar Basketball, and is a member of Fury Travel Softball in the area. He is also a member of the Pursuit Jiu Jutsu studio and Prospects Training Academy. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the warmth and sense of community here.

Baleigh Grace Griffith, daughter of Mike and Vicki Griffith, is a freshman at West Lincoln Attendance Center. At West Lincoln, Baleigh is a member of Booster Buddies and helps with the youth softball camp. She is an Honor Roll student, voted Student of the Year, Miss West Lincoln Junior High and class favorite. Plays softball and soccer for the WL Bears. Baleigh is a member of Ramah Baptist Church and enjoys volunteering for VBS. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the small-town feel and that people care about each other.

Ashlyn Kate Hall, daughter of Stuart and Sarabeth Hall, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Ashlyn is a high school student and a member of the Jr. High National Honor Society. He earned awards in Jr. High as “Typical Freshman” and 8th grade Homecoming Maid and 8th grade Class Rep. Ashlyn is a member of the JV cheer squad and tennis team at BA. He is active in his youth group at Moak’s Creek Baptist Church. His favorite thing about Brookhaven is the closeness and community involvement.

Johna Claire Haralson, daughter of John and Amber Haralson, is a newcomer to the Enterprise Attendance Center. Johna is a member of FBLA, Student Council, First Priority, Football Stats, and a Baseball Diamond Doll. She is an A/B Honor Roll student and plays basketball and softball for EWA. Johna is a member of the Topisaw Baptist Youth Group and a member of the Rainin Three Hoop School. His favorite thing about living in Lincoln County is the camaraderie and how we support small businesses.

Alyssa Michelle Jarreau, daughter of Wayne and Michelle Jarreau, is a freshman at the Enterprise Attendance Center. Alyssa is a member of the Priority Club. She is an honor roll student and crowned the Most Beautiful in the EAC competition. He also plays tennis for EAC. Alyssa is active in her youth group at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she plays piano and guitar. His favorite thing about Brookhaven is the small town Christian atmosphere where everyone treats you like family.

Madelynn Claire Jergins, daughter of Speedy and Tonya Jergins, is a freshman at the Enterprise Attendance Center. Madelynn is a high school student and plays basketball and softball for the EAC Lady Jackets. He is active in the youth group at Topisaw Baptist Church. His favorite thing about Brookhaven and Lincoln County is the good people.

Isabella Taylr Jordan, daughter of Chad and Amber Jordan, is a freshman at the Enterprise Attendance Center. Isabella is a high school student with perfect attendance in her 8th year class. She is a member of the Lady Jacket softball team. Isabella was an active member of the Johnson Grove Church of Christ. His favorite thing about Lincoln County is his school.

Catherine Eva Mason, daughter of Rob and Amy Mason, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Eva serves on the BHS Yearbook staff, Mock Trial Team, Show Choir, BHS Cross Country Team, and recently enjoyed the Ole Brook Homecoming production. He is an Honor Roll student, member of the National Jr. Honor Society. Eva is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Francis of Assisi, serves as a lector and VBS volunteer. She enjoys volunteering her time at Brookhaven Little Theater and BARL. His favorite thing about Brookhaven is all the traditions. Of all the places his family lives in the whole country, when they get together, they always choose Brookhaven.

Kahlen Paige Milstead, daughter of Taz and Mandy Milstead, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Kahlen is a member of the BA Science Club and Jr. High National Honor Society where he serves as treasurer. He received Honors in Mathematics, Science, Computers, and English. He is a Lott Leadership Attendee, Patriot’s Pen Essay winner, Jr. MS Scholar, Capitol Debate Top-Speaker and William Durr Award winner. Kahlen is a member of the BA JV cheer squad and tennis team. She is a member of the Brookhaven Dance Academy and is a school teacher. Kahlen attends Easthaven Baptist Church. His favorite thing about Brookhaven is the sense of community and that everyone is always there to help each other.

Emma Elaine Mirabel, daughter of Adam and Lisa Furlow, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Emma is a member of the BHS Band and Mock Trial. He was recently inducted into the Jr. National Honor Society and an A/B Honor Roll Student. Emma was voted Freshman Homecoming maid and was featured in the BHS homecoming production. He is active in FBC’s youth band, Rock Solid. Her Brookhaven favorite is small businesses.

Addi Reese Myers, daughter of Corey and Courtney Myers, is a freshman at West Lincoln Attendance Center. Addi is a member of FCA and FFA. She plays for the Lady Bear Basketball and Softball teams where she was awarded Rookie of the Year for fastpitch softball. Addi is also a member of the Impulse Travel Softball Team and LIncln County 4-H. He attends Heuck’s Retreat Baptist Church and is active in the youth group. His favorite thing about Lincoln County is the beautiful downtown and great food.

Sofie Grace Orr, daughter of Jeremy and Stefanie Orr, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Sofie is a member of FCA and was a member of the 7th grade, Most Energetic 8th grader, 9th Grade Cougar Spirit Award and was voted as the freshman girl. She is a JV cheerleader and dancer at Nena Smith’s School of Dance. Sofie is active in Faith Presbyterian Church’s worship team and youth team. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven and Lincoln County is the great shopping!

Kristen Taylor Pollard, daughter of Scott and Emily Pollard, is a freshman at the Enterprise Attendance Center. Kristen is an A/B Honor Roll student and plays softball. He is active in his church youth group. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the great people and all the wonderful shops.

Kennedy Elizabeth Powell, daughter of Mike and Rachel Powell, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Kennedy was a member of the BHS Band, volleyball team, and National Jr. Honor Society. He was an A/B Honor Roll Student, receiving many high honors and the AJH 8th Grade Leadership Award. Kennedy is a member of Faith Presbyterian Church and is active in the choir and youth. She likes to study visual arts and babysit. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is knowing that she lives in a wonderful, loving, and caring community.

Claire Babinglon Redd, daughter of Michael and Karen Redd, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Claire is a member of the Science Club, yearbook committee, and serves as class secretary. He is on the Principal’s List at BA and a member of the Jr. High National Honor Society. Claire plays on the Cougar tennis team, is a BA JV cheerleader, and cheers for the MS Gym of Dreams. His favorite thing about Brookhaven is the camaraderie.

Juliette Elizabeth Redd, daughter of Mikael and Karen Redd, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Juliette is a member of the Science Club, yearbook committee, and serves as class treasurer. He is on the Principal’s List at BA, a member of the Jr. High National Honor Society, and is in Honors English. Juliette plays on the Cougar tennis team, is a BA JV cheerleader, and cheers for the MS Gym of Dreams. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the beauty of the town and all the wonderful people she has met.

Jayla Shavon Sanders, daughter of Dominique and Lela Smith, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Jayla is a member of the BHS yearbook club and is an A/B Honor Roll student. She likes to play softball. Volunteer, and a member of her church’s 4-H club. Jayla’s favorite thing about Brookhaven is the fair district and our town.

Kynnedi Jovonne Smith, daughter of Tecompsha and Karitta Warren, is a freshman at Brookhaven High School. Kynnedi is a member of the Pride of Ole Brook Band, a BHS cheerleader, and a member of the National Jr. Honor Society. He was an All-A Honor Roll student. Kynnedi is happy to be a member of the Purity Dance Ministry at Abudance Life Church. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the family atmosphere of the community.

Mary Anson Tate, daughter of Leighton and Sidney Tate, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Mary Anson is a member of FCA, Science Club, and National Honor Society. He was an All-A Honor Roll student, named Student of the Month multiple times. He has been nominated for the Lott Leadership Award and represented BA in the Co-Lin Math Competition. She plays for the Cougar tennis and basketball teams and dances competitively at Showstopper’s and is a member of the Rainin’ Three Hoop School. Mary Anson attends Topisaw Baptist Church. He also plays the violin. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the Christmas Parade and Janie’s.

Sidney Susanna Tate, daughter of Leighton and Sidney Tate, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Susan is a member of FCA, Science Club, and National Honor Society. He was an All-A Honor Roll student and was a DARE story winner. She plays for the Cougar tennis and basketball teams and dances competitively at Showstopper’s. He is a member of the Rainin’ Three Hoop School. Susan was a member of Topisaw Baptist Church. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is the friendly small town atmosphere.

Ann Carter Waltman, daughter of Michael and Kathy Waltman, is a freshman at Brookhaven Academy. Ann Carter is an FCA member and an Honor Roll Student. He is a member of the Brookhaven Academy Cougar Cross Country, Track, and Basketball teams. Ann Carter enjoys pottery and traveling, enjoying a recent trip to Africa. Her favorite thing about Brookhaven is how all the neighbors and friends are close and really care about each other.
