Minot cheerleaders win back-to-back state championships at West Fargo

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KMOT) – The Minot High cheerleading team finished with three state champions this weekend.

Under coach Vytalli Klimpel, the team won state championships in the timeout, game day and cheer/dance categories for the second year in a row.

Juniors Macee Barber and Lely Rivera placed in individual events.

Macee finished second in the “Top Sideline Cheerleader” competition and Lely finished third in the “All Around Cheerleader” competition.

Lely and classmate Isabella Roll are basketball captains for the season.

The first Magicians boys basketball game will be Dec. 2 against Devils Lake at the Magic City Campus.
