Wednesday Update: Batch out for the season

JACKSONVILLE – One of the Jaguars’ most serious injuries early in the season is a season-ending one.

Ben Bartch will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury suffered in Sunday’s loss to the Houston Texans, head coach Doug Pederson said Wednesday. The Jaguars placed the starting left guard on injured reserve on Tuesday.

“When you lose a player like Ben, obviously you get that position,” Pederson said. “We’ve done our best the last couple of days and brought in a few guys to work. I’m really pleased with him (Miller), now we have to pick him up quickly. He’ll be in the rotation. Possibly in a week. in the eighth position [on Sunday’s offensive line].”
