Lakers fans seem to be smitten with Dancing with the Stars – Game 7

The Los Angeles Lakers won an impressive 128-121 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Friday night.

While beating a 3-13 squad at home generally isn’t a big deal, it becomes a bit more of a milestone when you also only have three wins on the year coming into the outing.

That said, because this was a battle of terrible teams, Lakers fans understandably had to do their own cheering in the stands.

And that’s exactly what one enterprising man seemed to be doing. The viral video pretty much speaks for itself:

With Twitter being what it is and social media being the perfect avenue for something like this, reactions quickly started pouring in.

The responses were mostly what you’d expect:

For what it’s worth, it’s impossible to know what the Lakers fan was actually staring at with his binoculars. It could have been something else in the stands. It could have been the cheerleaders. It could have been anything.

People at home just happened to pick the funniest interpretation.

This is not like the Detroit Lions fan who was busted taking provocative photos of the cheerleaders on an outing last week. That guy was just being obvious.

By any objective measure, this has been an unfortunate year for the Lakers so far. It is nice that they are on a two game winning streak, but they are still 14th in the Western Conference at the moment.

Aside from being one of three players for a trade centered around Gordon Hayward and one of two squads interested in Bojan Bogdanovic, it’s also hard to see them improving the roster much from here.

Alex Morgan’s outfit caused a stir.

Was Friday night the start of a run that will return some respectability to the Lakers?

Will LA fans finally start getting something fun to watch at games other than the cheerleaders?
