The former West Forsyth cheerleader will be in the Super Bowl as part of the Panthers’ TopCats

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – All eyes will be on Cam Newton and his Carolina Panthers teammates on Sunday, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.

But in one pocket of Advance, a crowd of people will be paying more attention to the sidelines during Super Bowl 50, hoping to catch a glimpse of a hometown girl fulfilling a lifelong dream.

Frontline native Kloi Irving, 23, is among 28 girls on the TopCats, the Panthers’ cheerleading squad. She and everyone else who works for the Panthers go to the Super Bowl courtesy of owner Jerry Richardson, who pays their expenses.

Irving, a 2011 graduate of West Forsyth High School, is expected to arrive in Santa Clara, Calif., on Friday and return to her home in Charlotte on Monday.
