Your local boss is playing on the Orlando Thanksgiving Tour

Nimitz Middle School is proud to announce that a member of its cheerleading team, Catelyn Alexander, represented Varsity Spirit in the 2022 Orlando Thanksgiving Tour at The Walt Disney World Resort on the 22nd-25th. November.

Cheerleaders and dancers invited to perform in the Orlando Thanksgiving Tour are part of a select group of All-Americans identified at Varsity Spirit summer camps across the country. All-Americans are based on either superior cheerleading or dance skills in camps run by the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA). The Nimitz Middle School cheerleaders participated in the UCA Camp in June of this year, where Catelyn was selected as an All-American. Only the top 12% of cheerleaders and dancers from Varsity Spirit camps get the chance to participate in a performance of this caliber.

“We are thrilled that these outstanding athletes will have the chance to perform and experience our special events in Orlando, FL,” said Bill Seely, President of Varsity Spirit. “We are honored to provide them with a unique opportunity where they will meet and connect with cheerleaders, dancers from across the country and create memorable experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort parks.”

Catelyn performed with the Varsity Spirit All-Americans in a one-of-a-kind performance at The Walt Disney World Resort. In addition to enjoying a sunny trip to Orlando, the All-Americans will have the opportunity to meet cheerleaders and dancers from across the country and enjoy a magical Thanksgiving holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort parks.

Catelyn stated “Being selected as an All-American cheerleader is such an honor. Spending Thanksgiving with my family at Walt Disney World performing as an All-American is truly a magical dream come true. I have so much to be thankful for. I am blessed to have the support and love of the people in my life.”
