The varsity and junior Mount Vernon Knights cheerleading teams will go to the nationals for the first time.
During the big victory at the Regionals, the cheerleaders paid tribute to their late teammate Kayla Green by placing a pink pom pom on the stage. Green was killed earlier this year.
Now they are waiting for citizens in February.
