The Live star was one of the first to respond to the ABC star’s Instagram post, which highlighted an article that named her show, World News Tonight with David Muir, having been named Poynter’s most-watched program of the year.
“Every night!! Mostly watching,” the mother of three wrote, alongside a series of hand clapping emojis.

In a lengthy post on World News Tonight, schools of journalism and democracy have stated: “ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir was the most watched program on all US television in 2022. Take note: it’s not just the most watched newscast. It is is the program’s most watched period.”

David and Kelly have been great friends for years, and Kelly even paid tribute to the star in her Live Wire book on the thank-you page.

David has been a familiar face on TV for years, and began hosting World News Tonight with David Muir in 2014, earning him a loyal following of fans.
Journalist career highlights are also very numerous. He knew he wanted to work in the news industry from an early age, which was only encouraged by his immediate family.
David was born in Syracuse, New York, to his father and mother, Pat Mills, who divorced when he was young, but continued to co-parent amicably.

“One of the images I will never forget is my mum and dad taking me there on summer vacation or school holidays,” she said.
“When most kids left to do other things, I remember just asking them to take me to that TV station. I’m sure they were scared. Between the two of them, they had to take me there. To this day, I am grateful for them want to take me to 980 James St.”
When he’s not working, David enjoys nothing more than spending time relaxing at home in New York City with his beloved dog Axel.
