Week 17 NFL Betting Highlights
Panthers vs Buccaneers
The dangers of betting against TB12 became apparent – once again – the GOAT led another fourth quarter come-from-behind victory to lift the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to victory, leaving those bettors who went against him and his precious Bucs. Carolina fans were rubbing their hands together in joy, feeling good that the Panthers were taking a 21-10 lead into the fourth quarter. That is until it was snatched out of their hands, seemingly out of nowhere, in the blink of an eye.
Tom Brady and Co. 20 unanswered points in the span of 12 minutes and then it was all over. Tampa Bay claimed the 30-24 victory for their fans with the win and the cover, all while helping bettors with cash too, thanks to their late scoring spree.

Cardinals vs Falcons
The eliminated Atlanta Falcons rookie fieldback Desmond Riddler closed as touchdown favorites at home to the equally eliminated Arizona Cardinals fielding backup quarterback Colt McCoy … what could go wrong? Read also : Eagles acquired DB Ugo Amadi in trade from Seahawks.
Well, aside from the fact that she yawned all game, the Cardinals managed to take a 19-17 lead on a 57-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter. However, with almost five minutes left on the clock, there was plenty of time for the hosts to respond. And they did.
The Falcons bled the clock as they marched down the field. With just two seconds left on the clock, kicker Younghoe Koo trotted out to kick the game-winning field goal. So, take the win out of the hands of those who backed Arizona on the money line at +240 (bet $100 to win $240) or thereabouts.
On the bright side, Arizona’s side improvers cashed in on the narrow loss and under bettors came through by the skin of their teeth.
Dolphins vs Patriots
The Miami Dolphins scored in garbage time to get the backdoor cover and deny New England fans the perfect day with the win and the cover. Small consolation for Miami fans, who were left with something to cheer about in the wake of the loss to the Patriots that put the Dolphins’ season hopes in jeopardy.
The Patriots led 23-14 going into the final minutes of the game before Miami third-string quarterback Skylar Thompson put together a last-gasp scoring drive.
Before that the Patriots jumped ahead 16-14 in the third quarter thanks to an interception return for a touchdown. Alas, Nick Folk missed the extra point that would have made it 17-14 as his AMP hit the post. That clang later proved to be central to New England fans, who ultimately failed on the cover.

Vikings vs Packers
Talk about a bad beat! This was literally a bad beat in every sense for the Minnesota Vikings, one that left an indelible impression on bettors before the playoffs. The Vikings closed as the nominal 3½-point road was underdogs for the Packers, only to be steamrolled 41-17. They barely flinched at the point of spread!
And yes, the Vikings were down 41-3 before they scored their first touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter. Thanks to their late scoring flurry, the over-bettors cashed in. Anyone with a ticket was left cursing!
