Taiwan cheerleader tells Stephen Chow on IG she wants…

Stephen Chow, 60, may be new to Instagram, but he’s been killing it on the platform.

The comedy legend enjoys socializing with fans online and boasts some 480K followers since he started his account in October.

On New Year’s Day, he posted a clip from his 1996 show God Of Cookery, asking his fans to share their wishes for the new year.

Many celebrities filled the speaking section with their wishes. They ranged from the professional – Hong Kong actor Louis Cheung and our very own Shaun Chen said they look forward to working with Stephen – to the light hearted. TVB actress Sisley Choi joked that she would like to be his girlfriend, while Myolie Wu’s wish was for the director to get married and start a family soon.

Perhaps the most enthusiastic came from Taiwanese cheerleader Lin Yizhen, better known as Linda, who wrote: “Sing Ye, I hope to give you my panties.” He then added his brand to the bottom of the post.

Unexpectedly, Stephen asked: “Which colors can I choose?”, Linda replied: “I will send you all the colors!

Linda, a member of Taiwan’s Rakuten Girls, cheerleaders for the Rakuten Monkeys baseball team, was so moved that Stephen responded to her message that she took a screenshot of their conversation and posted it on her IG.

“It turns out that Sing Ye answers the questions. This is amazing!” he wrote.

Netizens and fans were delighted with their interaction, posting comments such as “Super hilarious. He is close to netizens”, “I want to help you by posting” and “He thought you were going to give him your underwear.”
