On Saturday, February 4 at Weldon Auditorium, Laurence Manning will host his first Dancing with the Swampcats event. The money raised from this event will go to support the school’s athletes as the event will be a fundraiser. Tickets are $35 for the social beginning at 5:45 and the show beginning at 7:00 p.m., or $20 for the show only.
The following couples will be taking part:
Porter Davis and Jackson Brown:
Porter Davis is a senior and a member of the Varsity cheerleading squad and the Lady Cats varsity basketball team. She has many years of dance experience. Jackson Brown, also a senior, is a member of the Varsity football team and the state championship baseball team. Jackson is unsure about this, but he never backs down from a challenge
Hailey Lynch is a senior with 15 years of dance experience. She is currently a member of the Carolina Dance Academy’s Inferno Senior Team, and is a soloist. James Olden is a senior and a member of the Varsity football and basketball teams. James loves to entertain and is looking forward to his first dance.
Caroline Weaver and Kameron Miller:
Caroline Weaver, sophomore, has been dancing for 12 years. She is currently a company member at Miss Libby’s Dance and Gymnastics. She is a member of the Varsity cheerleading squad and the LMA High School Dance Team. Kameron Miller is a sophomore. Kameron is a member of the Shotgun team and LMA track. Kameron is nervous, but he’s ready!
Campbell McInnis and Bryson Hodge:
Campbell McInnis, sophomore, has been dancing for 13 years at Ceardlann an Rinceoir. Campbell is a member of the Varsity cheerleading squad. Bryson Hodge is a junior. Bryson is a member of the Varsity football team and the state championship baseball team. Hodge believes he just has to win that mirror ball trophy!
Junior Katie Clark has been dancing for 15 years. She is a member of the Carolina Dance Academy’s Inferno Senior Team and is a tap soloist. Katie is a varsity cheerleader and a member of the LMA track team. Bennett Lee, also a junior, is a member of the LMA Boys Golf team. Bennett is always up for fun and a challenge and looks forward to getting on stage!
Maddie Clark, sophomore, has been dancing for 13 years. She is a member of the Carolina Dance Academy Inferno Senior Team and a soloist. Maddie is a member of the Varsity cheerleading squad and the LMA High School Dance Team. Zach Durant, a junior, is a member of the Varsity basketball team. Zach knows he’s got this up his sleeve and is excited about joining Dancing with the Swampcats.
Hailey Quintanilla and Ace Lynch:
Hailey Quintanilla is a sophomore and has been dancing for 12 years. She is a member of the Carolina Dance Academy’s Inferno Senior Team and is a soloist. Hailey is a member of the Varsity cheerleading squad and the LMA soccer team. Ace Lynch, a freshman, is a member of the LMA Lacrosse and soccer teams and runs track. Ace is stepping outside his comfort zone here, but he knows he’s going to have fun!
Autumn Bryant and Thomas Sumpter:
Autumn Bryant is a freshman. She has 8 years of experience dancing at Ceardlann an Rinceoir. Autumn is a member of the JV cheerleading squad and the JV basketball and softball teams. Thomas Sumpter is a junior. He is a member of the varsity football and basketball teams and the LMA track team. Tomás knows he has the moves to win!
Kinsey Hatchell and Drew Ferriell:
Kinsey Hatchell is a sophomore with 13 years of dance experience. She is a company member at Miss Libby’s School of Dance and Gymnastics and is a soloist. She is a member of the Varsity cheerleading squad.
Drew Ferriell is a freshman. He is a member of the Swampcat football and baseball teams. Drew knows that Kinsey will be able to make him look like a natural dancer on that stage!
Mary Brooke Mooneyham and Ian Harris:
Mary Brooke Mooneyham is a junior. She has been dancing for 6 years and is a member of the Carolina Dance Academy Inferno Senior Team and a soloist. Ian Harris, junior, is a member of the varsity football and state championship basketball teams. Ian believes he’s got the win and the moves to take home the win!
Lainey Baggette and Brandon King:
Lainey Baggette is a sophomore with 13 years of dance experience at Ceardlann an Rinceoir. Lainey is a member of the Varsity cheerleading squad. Brandon King is a senior. He is a member of various football and basketball teams. Brandon may seem quiet and shy, but he brings it all to the dance floor.
Ashely Rae Hodge, a freshman, has been dancing for 12 years. She is a member of the Carolina Dance Academy Inferno Senior Team and a soloist. Rae is a member of the various basketball and softball teams. Gavin Ard is a sophomore. He is a member of the Swampcat football and baseball teams. Gavin is excited to show off his moves to the audience and take home the win!
