Ravens vs. Bengals: Best bets for NFL wild card this Sunday night…

Cincinnati wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase (1) and the Bengals will face the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the NFL Playoffs on Sunday night.

The Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals meet in the first round of the NFL Playoffs on Sunday night, just one week after meeting in the regular season finale, which the Bengals won 27-16.

The Ravens (10-7) were hoping to get star quarterback Lamar Jackson back in time for the Wild Card game, but according to his tweet Thursday, Jackson sounded like he would miss his sixth straight game after suffering a knee injury in Week 13 more than a month ago against the Denver Broncos.

If he can’t go, Baltimore, the AFC’s No. 6 seed, will once again rely on backup Tyler Huntley, who is also beat up. Huntley, dealing with shoulder tendinitis, missed last week’s final and did not train earlier this week. However, it is expected to start against the Bengals in the playoffs if Jackson is out.

Third-seeded Cincinnati (12-4) is as healthy as a team can be heading into the postseason.

Baltimore won the teams’ first meeting, 19-17, in Week 5 back in October on a last-second Justin Tucker 43-yard field goal. But since that loss, the Bengals have won 10 of their last 11 games, including eight in a row.

Currently, Cincinnati, the defending AFC champion, is a 9.5-point favorite over its AFC North division rivals.

FrontPageBets takes a look at three top bets for Sunday night’s Wild Card playoff game from Paycor Stadium.

Bengals -9.5 (-110)

The Bengals have won eight in a row and have gone 7-1 against the spread during that stretch. Read also : Local cheerleaders shine on the national stage.

They are the second-best team ATS this season with a 12-4 record, including 9-4 as favorites and 5-2 at home.

Baltimore is 7-9-1 against the spread, but 3-1-1 as a road underdog.

The difference here will be quarterback play.

Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow is fifth in the league in passing yards with 4,475 and tied for second with 35 touchdowns.

And he struggled against the Ravens this year, combining for just 432 passing yards and two touchdowns in two games. But Burrow in the playoffs is a different kind of good.

In four postseason games — all last year during the Bengals’ magical run to the Super Bowl — Burrow racked up 1,105 passing yards, five touchdowns and a 68.3 completion percentage.

Ravens under 14.5 total team points (-105)

Without Jackson and with a beaten Huntley, the Ravens will struggle to move the ball, let alone score. Since Jackson’s absence, Baltimore has averaged 13 points in its last five games. The most they’ve scored was 17 in a Week 16 win against the Atlanta Falcons on Christmas Eve.

While they have scored 19 and 16 points, respectively, in their two games against the Bengals this season, the Ravens are averaging just 11.6 points on the road since the beginning of December.

In the two games against the Ravens this season, Chase has 15 catches and 25 targets.
