I tried on my old high school cheerleading uniform after 10 years; it was custom built back then and still works…

SOME older closet items should go in the trash, but not all—especially if they have sentimental associations.

That was the experience of TikToker Brandds (@aquaab), when a uniform from the past reappeared.

She rediscovers a connection to her high school days, taking her on a trip down memory lane.

It was her old cheerleading outfit.

Although it had been ten years since she last wore it, she was delighted to try it on again.

“I’m testing to see if my cheer uniform still fits after ten years,” she said, happily showing that it still fits like a glove.

Her video showed no adjustments needed and it slipped right on.

Brands’ shape has changed a bit since she last wore the cheerleading ensemble.

“It’ll all come out, it’ll all come out in the wash. Don’t worry,” Miranda Lambert sang in the background.

Even the colors of the dress have not lost any of their brightness, they remain vivid and striking as they were many years ago.

The nostalgic clothing display evoked memories from former cheerleaders, who commented on her post.

“Bro this is way cuter,” said one comment.

Others recognized her outfit: “I think I cheered in that same skirt.”

A few more said they were not allowed to buy their dresses. Instead: “We pretty much have rentals. We pay them, but then we have to pay them back.”

Others, however, like Brands, had their own.

“Dresses are adapted to our bodies. But when we graduate, we can sell them to the other girls on the team if the uniform stays the same,” reads the last comment.
