SOME older wardrobe items should go in the bin, but not all – especially if they have sentimental associations.
That was the experience of TikToker Brandds (@aquaab), when a uniform from the past resurfaced.
She rediscovered a link to her high school days, which took her on a trip down memory lane.
It was her old cheerleading outfit.
Although it had been ten years since she last wore it, she was delighted to try it on again.
“I’m testing to see if the fan uniform still suits me after ten years,” she said and enthusiastically showed that it still fits perfectly.
Her video showed that no adjustments were needed and it slipped right on.
Branddsa’s shape has changed a bit since she last wore a cheerleader.
“It’s all gonna come out, it’s gonna come out in the wash. Don’t sweat it,” Miranda Lambert sang in the background.
The colors of the dress also did not lose their brightness, they remained vivid and attractive as they were many years ago.
The nostalgic exhibition sparked the memories of former cheerleaders, who commented on her announcement.
“Bro, this is way cuter,” said one comment.
Others recognized her outfit: “I think I cheered in that same skirt.”
A few said they were not allowed to buy their dresses. Instead: “We have mostly rentals. We pay them, but then we have to pay them back.”
Others, however, like Brandds, had their own.
“Dresses are adapted to our bodies. But when we graduate, we can sell them to the other girls on the team if the uniform stays the same,” read the final comment.
