Cowboys vs. 49ers: best bets for this NFL playoff round…

San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy and the 49ers will host the Dallas Cowboys in the divisional round of the NFL Playoffs on Sunday night.

In one of the most prominent postseason rivalries, the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers will meet for the ninth time in the NFL Playoffs on Sunday night.

The Cowboys have won five times, the 49ers three. The winner of this game has won five Super Bowls.

The two teams met last year in the Wild Card round, with San Francisco winning 23-17. After going down early, the Cowboys had a chance to rally after scoring twice in the fourth quarter. But Dak Prescott’s run and subsequent rally as the clock expired doomed any chance of a Cowboys miracle.

This year’s teams have some of the same pieces but are definitely not the same teams.

San Francisco enters as the No. 2 seed in the NFC, having won 11 straight games, including last week’s Wild Card victory over the Seattle Seahawks, 41-23.

The 49ers are led by rookie quarterback Brock Purdy, who will make his sixth straight start after replacing Jimmy Garropollo, who suffered a season-ending injury in Week 14.

Dallas, the No. 5 seed, made short work of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night in the first round, handing Tom Brady his first career loss to the franchise, 31-14.

Prescott is back in the postseason and is coming off one of his best performances of the year in the win against the Bucs, where he threw for 305 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for another score.

The 49ers are currently 3.5-point favorites in Sunday night’s divisional round game, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. on FOX.

FrontPageBets takes a look at the top three bets to consider in this NFC playoff rivalry.

49ers -3.5 (-110)

San Francisco, including the playoffs, is 12-6 against the spread. See the article : Jaguars Ticket Member of the Year Spotlight: The Porter Family. As the favorite, the 49ers are 11-5 and 8-1 at home.

During their 11-game winning streak, they are 9-2 ATS. And with Purdy at quarterback, San Francisco is 5-1.

Since 2019, the 49ers are 6-1 against the spread in playoff games.

Dallas is 11-7 ATS this season and 3-2 as an underdog.

Both teams scored 30+ in their first playoff game.

During their winning streak, the 49ers are averaging 31.5 points per game. And with Purdy at the helm, they’re averaging 34.8.

In that same 11-week stretch, Dallas is averaging 33.1 points per contest.

And while both had top-five defenses during the regular season, this playoff game will be an offensive showcase.

49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk over 53.5 receiving yards (-115)

During the regular season, San Francisco wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk led the team in receiving, catching 78 passes for 1,015 yards. He was also second on the team in touchdown catches with eight.

Aiyuk stepped in for the super-talented Deebo Samuel, who missed four games through injury.

Now, with Samuel back wreaking havoc on defenses (nine catches for 133 yards and a touchdown in last week’s playoff win over Seattle), Aiyuk has a chance to fly under the radar.

Against the Seahawks, Aiyuk had just three catches, but they went for 73 yards, including a 31-yarder.
