January 21 – Between Rock Springs Tiger Basketball games tonight, the seniors from the 2023 Cheerleading and Tiger Rhythm Dance teams were recognized. A small excerpt for each senior was read, including their high school honors and their plans after graduation.

What is the difference between JUCO D1 and JUCO D2?
Division 1 is home to the largest universities and colleges, whereas Division II and Division III member schools are smaller in size. See the article : See: Photos of NFL Basketball Players. A common misconception among athletes is that the level in Division II is by definition weaker than in Division I; or Division III compared to Division II.
Can you go D1 from a D2 JUCO? It is certainly possible to go from JUCO to D1. Ziola-Vega recommends that student-athletes hoping for recruitment through a major program look at D1 JUCOs; this is the most competitive of the NJCAA divisions and the most likely to place students in NCAA schools further ahead.
What determines whether a college is D1 or D2? A school’s size and the resources of its athletic program determine its NCAA division. To ensure fairness in competition, larger schools compete in Division 1 and Division 2, while smaller schools compete in Division 3. Division 1 and 2 schools can offer athletic scholarships, while Division 3 schools cannot.
What is the difference between D1 and D2? Let’s start with this, according to NCAA rules, a D1 scholarship is a full scholarship and always is. D2 can give full scholarships, but many schools can only afford to give a few full and a few partial ones. D3 cannot provide athletic scholarships, only financial aid.
Is NJCAA Division 2 good?

Is D2 better than NAIA? NAIA programs are comparable to NCAA D3 schools. Top level NAIA programs match the talent found at mid/high level NCAA D2 schools. Sometimes athletes will choose a top 25 NAIA program over a lower ranked D2 program because the level of competition is quite similar.
Is it better to go D2 or JUCO? The best players, coaches, facilities and teams are D1 â and the worst are JUCO. While this may be true for some schools – there is a lot more congruence than you were initially led to believe. In reality, all levels are overlapped.
Does NJCAA D2 give scholarships?
Division II Colleges may award athletic scholarships, but scholarships are limited to tuition, books, fees, and up to $250 in of course necessary supplies. Does d2 provide full scholarships? Very few student-athletes at Division II schools will receive full scholarships, but most will receive partial scholarships or some other form of athletic-based financial aid. In addition, student-athletes may apply for other scholarships, such as merit or academic scholarships or other forms of financial aid.
