Local Event: Girls’ Stomp & Shake Cheerleading Team (Ages 11 to 21)

SoulPhamm is entering its final weeks of tryouts and still has spots available on its new cheerleading/stomp & shake team for girls from 11 to 21 years old. Beginners are welcome. This will be a traveling, competitive team that also performs in parades and high visibility events.

The program runs Saturdays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Newark YMCA until June 2023. Participants will also occasionally practice tap and majorette dancing for a better experience.

TRIALS ARE FREE. Paperwork is handed out on site. Tryouts are simple – candidates simply participate in regular practice so coaches can assess their skill level.

THEN THE COST OF THE SEASON IS: $40 registration (payable in small amounts between now and March 31st) and $20 per month. All artists and athletes will buy their own uniforms.
