Ugly scenes unfolded outside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Sunday, when Dallas Cowboys fans gathered to attend a watch party for the game against the San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers won 19-12 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, to qualify for the NFC Championship, where they will face the Eagles in Philadelphia.
Dallas Texas TV shared a video on Twitter showing fans exchanging punches outside the venue, while security personnel tried to separate other people involved in the brawl as seen in another video.
Fans were disappointed after the loss to the 49ers. Thousands of them attended the viewing party, where the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders performed, with members of the Los Vaqueros Locos hyping up the crowd before the game.
“I really thought we were going to win this game, so to lose this is a divisional aspect, that really hurts, but I’m still a cowboys fan anyway,” Yvonne Rodriguez, a Cowboys fan who attended the viewing party, told NBCDFW.
Still, others were pleased with their team’s run this season, as the Cowboys finished the regular season at 12-5.
