What is the hardest position in cheering? What is the hardest position in cheerleading? Many people would argue that the hardest position in cheerleading is base. Every stunt needs a solid foundation to be successful! Bases must have solid footing, solid handholds and be able to catch flyers at any point during the routine.
What does it take to be a cheer flyer? The flyer or top is the person who is in the air during a stunt. This is the person who is commonly the main target of the stunt. The flyers must stay tight throughout the entire stunt. The flyer must control his weight by squeezing everything from his thighs to his shoulders.

Is the cheerleader painful? Common injuries that can occur in competitive cheerleading include: Muscle strains in the hip, lower back, and legs. Ligament sprains in the knees and ankles. Finger and hand injuries.
What do you learn in cheerleading? While cheerleading requires different physical skills and strengths required for stunts, jumps or falls, there is so much self-development that allows athletes to gain practical skills in life. These skills include discipline, teamwork and goal setting, all while instilling confidence.
What skills do you need to be a cheerleader? The most important cheerleading skills are cheering, jumping, tumbles, acrobatics (building pyramids), and dancing. These are the fundamental techniques that shape every aspect of cheerleading. To master these skills, it is especially important to possess and develop balance, strength, flexibility and endurance.
