Belvidere North hosts competitive cheerleading divisions, four local teams advance

BELVIDERE, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) – Belvidere North was the host of another IHSA cheerleading division competition on Saturday.

Teams from around the Stateline and the state of Illinois took the mat hoping to punch their ticket to the state finals in Bloomington, Ill.

Teams competed in four different divisions (combined, small, medium, large), with the top five teams from each division advancing to regionals. Our four local teams will make this trip.

Main: 1. Hampshire – 93.932. Dundee-Crown – 93.703. Algonquin (Jacobs) – 93.474. Harlem – 91.175. Barrington – 90.83

The past seven years Belvidere North has finished first or second at state (second two years ago).
