Congratulations to the Alamogordo High School Tiger Cheerleading Team for finishing 3rd in the All-Girl Game-day Division (Small Varsity) at the New Mexico State University Cheerleading Championships.
In Boys Basketball action, the Alamogordo High School Tiger Boys defeated Gadsden 77-33.
The Tiger Boys roared through the first quarter in Alamogordo leading Gadsden 26-7. The momentum went into halftime with the Tigers leading 46 to 12. Alamogordo then led Gadsden 60-25 after the third quarter. Alamogordo won the game 77 to 33.
Kai Bickham led the Tigers with 21 points, Deonta Bynum had 11, Damiran Smith had 9 and Jason Warren had 8.
The Tiger Boys improve to an 8-9 record and are now 2-3 in district. They host Carlsbad on Tuesday.
The Alamogordo Tiger Girls had an even tougher evening as Gadsden defeated the Alamogordo Lady Tigers 47-38. Teeya Gordon led the Lady Tigers with 17 points and Abby Vazquez had 10.
The Lady Tigers dropped to a 10-11 record, and are 0-5 in district. They host the Centennial on Thursday.
